About The Opportunity

As a Dedicated Event Manager at FCM Meetings & Events, you will have a focused partnership with one of our key corporate accounts in the finance industry.

You will be responsible for: 

Event Management

  • Partner with the Client's in-market teams to provide event resources and guidance to establish and maintain a consistent client experience across events in LatAm
  • Manage/support and execute a variety of mid-high complexity events throughout Latin America - supporting all aspects from pre-event amplification through post-event follow-up. 
  • Core responsibilities include oversight of the broader working group, content and creative development, experiential activations, project management, registration, event comms, venue management, budget management, and more.
  • Partner with Client's business stakeholders in developing Event Briefs, anchored in key business/commercial priorities, to serve as the foundation for the content and experience development workstream.
  • Oversee execution of events, ensuring alignment with objectives and overall event strategy, while also remaining within budget.
  • Analyze the success of events and oversee Event Debriefs to evaluate the event's impact of brand and reputational results.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal partners - Multimedia, Global Creative, Content, Digital for Events, Facilities, etc.

Communication

  • Maintain effective and customer focused communication throughout with all stakeholders.
  • Respond to all client enquiries professionally and within the agreed timeframes and ensure client satisfaction with the response.

Reporting

  • Ensure all delegate data is accurately processed including travel and accommodation and monies held on file before payments are made.
  • Maintain accurate files, budgets & critical paths in order to adhere to deadlines and budgets, attrition and cancellation deadlines as per signed contracts.

Training

  • Participate in the available training opportunities, directed by your Business Leader.

Additionally, you will have:

  • 6+ years of related experience in Event Marketing/Brand/Experiential Activations
  • Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese is a plus
  • Experience with event management software, preferably Cvent
  • Able to strategically balance innovative "big picture" thinking with tactical execution
  • MICE product experience is an asset
  • Comfortable in a multi-stakeholder environment across various time zones
  • A combination of in-house and agency even management experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of major suppliers and relevant MICE products/destinations an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with business owners, decision makers and managers
  • High attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and a will to succeed
  • Strong time management skills and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required
  • Willing to travel to LATAM 8-12 per year
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including OneDrive, in addition to event technology platforms - i.e. Cvent, Coupa, etc.

Location - New York, NY

This is an on-site role. 2 days in the client's office in NYC, and 1 day per week in the FCM office in Bryant Park, NYC.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $60,000 - $70,000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
