Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Provide daily care, including feeding, diapering, and naptime routines
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and educational activities
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
- Collaborate with other daycare staff to create a positive and supportive team environment
- Follow all licensing regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
Skills:
- Experience working with children in a daycare, nannying, or babysitting setting preferred but not required
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to provide nurturing care to young children
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic understanding of caregiving responsibilities, including feeding, diapering, and naptime routines
