SalaryI have been doing home daycare for 20 years. I have 9 to 10 kids a day of all ages. I am looking for someone to work with me. Some of the daily routines are playing with the kids, arts and crafts, taking the kids outside and feeding the kids.
I am looking for a responsible and outgoing individual to work as a Daycare Assistant. The successful candidate will love working with children, paying close attention to detail, and managing multiple tasks at once. This position requires strong communication skills, as well as flexibility in order to support the needs of the kids.
Some of the daily routines are playing with the kids, arts and crafts, taking the kids outside and more. You would need to be licensed or get an assistant license from EEC. I would help in that process. It isn't hard.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily running of daycare.
- Develop a rapport with the children in care.
- Develop social skills with the children in care.
- Handle daycare emergencies.
- Handle temper tantrums from children in care.
- Discipline the children in care.
- Maintain the physical condition of the daycare.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
- Teaching: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
