Summary of Position: Advancement Operations supports the fundraising efforts of the Development office, the engagement efforts of University Relations, and the strategic efforts of the Vice President of University Advancement. As part of the Advancement Operations team, the Database Operations Associate is crucial in supporting the team's administrative and data management efforts to facilitate effective donor and alumni engagement. This role ensures the smooth functioning of the Advancement Operations team by assisting in the implementation and continued support of the Slate CRM database. This position will assist in the creation of reports, dashboards and portals to ensure the most comprehensive use of this database platform.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the set-up and configuration of CRM system to align with the organization's advancement objectives
- Conduct data migration tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient transfer of information into the CRM system
- Maintain data integrity within the CRM system by regularly updating and cleansing records
- Assist in generating reports and dashboards to analyze donor engagement metrics, campaign effectiveness, alumni metrics, and fundraising performance
- Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and streamline processes
- Participate in ongoing system testing and quality assurance activities to ensure the reliability and functionality of CRM processes and the data contained within it
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and assist with implementing system upgrades

Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Experience & Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products - especially Excel and Word
- Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive matters
