Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or 10 or more years of experience developing data management solutions and strategies for clients, and technologies.
• 8 or more years of experience working with Microsoft Sql Server databases.
• 5 or more years of experience leading a highly skilled DBA team supporting various RDBMS platforms both on-premises and cloud based (preferably Microsoft Azure).
• 5 or more years with Healthcare industry, working with EMR and Payer systems.
• 5 or more years of experience developing data management strategies, policies, processes, and best practices.
• Experience with setting up and configuring high availability for Sql Server using Always on Availability groups.
• Expertise migrating on-premises databases to the cloud using native tools and tools available on Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving database performance problems and bottlenecks
• Strong issue analysis, RCA, troubleshooting steps, and documentation skills.
• Deep knowledge in Data Integration, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and understanding of objectives.
• Strong SQL knowledge for T-Sql.
• Ability to prioritize and manage a complex & changing data infrastructure.
• Strong problem solving, organizational and communication skill.
• Self-motivated Team Player with ability to work with wide array of Client base.
• Understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies involving data ETL and Business Intelligence. including but not limited to Azure Synapse, Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Data Factory. Strong understanding of Data Analytics, Automation of various complex Business Intelligence processes for data ETL.
• Ability to guide a business intelligence team to assess business cases and convert them into solutions

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating Enterprise DBMS standards, backup/restore methodologies, performance tuning directives and baselines.
• Integrate with Cross Functional tower to create documentation standards, install/upgrade build documents, operational support and knowledge base articles for Helpdesk use.
• Serve as an escalation point of contact for the database team and work with the team members for issue review and remediation.
• Monitor and adhere to all Service Level Agreements (SLA) as they pertain to the database management team.
• Work with Enterprise architect in assessing and remediating security vulnerabilities, database code updates to meet industry and DBMS vendor standards.
• Coordinate and implement database upgrades and updates to the latest releases.
• Integrate with other Application Services Towers to assist with database design, development, and implementation. Assist with non-prod to prod database refresh.
• Engage with third-party vendors for database support and set guidelines for in-take of vendor provided database management systems.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Database Technology and associated resources, including tools and best practices for upgrades, Enterprise, and cloud-based database technologies.
• Have a working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of Database Management and administration software and tools, and principles, practices, terminology, implementation, and maintenance, including, network and database design and security and software support.
• Troubleshoot complex Database technical problems, knowing potential causes of a problem down until reaching an ultimate cause or solution.
• Work with Database platform provider such as Microsoft as needed to find solutions for issues that have reached the limits of our teams troubleshooting ability and assist enterprise users.
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies, especially Azure based to be able to create a roadmap for lift and shift of on-premises database workload to the cloud platform.
• Work with Azure support architect in creating a roadmap for on-premises to cloud database migration for review and approval by leadership team.
• Operate with high efficiency to intake agency projects, identify potential opportunities for database optimization and recommend solutions that are deployable and fit with enterprise vision.
• Maintain data integrity at high level, design workflows to help support User data needs.

Key Skills

• Sql Server 2019, Database management and administration tools such as Quest Toad, Foglight, Spotlight, Performance Investigator, SolarWinds DPA, Sql Sentry, System and Application Monitor (SAM) etc

· · Experience in working with a highly experienced team across database administration, Business Intelligence and Enterprise data standards
