Database Administrator

Prime Care Technologies, a Managed Service Provider in the healthcare space, is currently recruiting for a Database Administrator out of our Duluth, GA office.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of the company databases and guarantees that data is stored securely and optimally. This position informs end users of changes in databases and trains them to utilize all systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage Microsoft SQL Server databases in many varied environments
• Build, configure, and maintain database servers and clusters
• Configure and maintain monitoring software to monitor system health, performance, and availability
• Assist in performance tuning of databases and proactively identify bottlenecks and resolve them quickly
• Independently analyze and solve issues with database performance
• Design backup processes and maintenance scripts for server and associated data
• Create, audit, and maintain SQL Login sand security levels
• Maintain disaster recovery protocol
• Develop solutions for Active/Active or Active/Passive failover in multi-site environment
• Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement
• Tune performance on third-party applications within vendor constraints
• Perform scheduled upgrades and security patching
• Share domain and technical experience, providing technical advice and cross-training to team members
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, computer engineering or equivalent combination of education, training and significant work experience
• Three to five years of Microsoft SQL Server database administration
• Two to four years working in Windows environments
• Advanced knowledge of database structure and theory
• Understanding of High Availability, disaster recovery and database backup procedures
• Understanding of Active Directory and Windows Security

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
