Form of work The Los Angeles Superior Court is looking for a Database Administrator ( see skills below ). The duration of the engagement is about 12 months. This is a remote position; however, they may have to travel on site or to other courts or conferences on rare occasions. The person we contract with should be someone that we are allowed to hire within 12 months of them coming on board.
DBA Contractor Required Skills:
Extensive experience working with SQL Server, including administration, design, and development skills.
Experience with HA/DR, Always On, backup recovery, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in SQL Server, monitoring, and troubleshooting issues.
Strong T-SQL and PL-SQL skills, as well as proficiency in scripting languages like cron and PowerShell.
Expertise in SSIS/SSAS/SSRS and ability to work with development and infrastructure teams.
Experience working with Oracle databases and Snowflake.
Experience with Azure and/or Oracle Cloud environments.
System-level knowledge of OS, networking, firewalls, etc.
Ability to gather requirements, perform data analysis, and convert requirements into application design.
