Summary:
Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, the Data Warehouse and BI Developer plays a crucial role in enhancing our data-driven decision-making capabilities. The position fits in with our dynamic and entrepreneurial team in Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business team members to gather and document reporting requirements, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are engaged and informed.
- Design, develop, and maintain a Data Warehouse, implementing best practices in data modeling, ETL processes, and data storage.
- Utilize Jet Data Manager to build out Data Warehouse and Analysis Services cubes, ensuring accurate and efficient data retrieval.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and reports, leveraging strong data visualization skills to effectively communicate insights to end users.
- Support users with the creation of reports using Jet Analytics, providing additional reporting flexibility for business users.
- Provide ongoing end-user support for Power BI reports and other reports built off of Data Warehouse and Analysis Services cubes, addressing issues and enhancing reporting capabilities as needed.
- Continuously monitor data quality and integrity, implementing data validation processes and error-handling procedures as necessary.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data warehousing and business intelligence.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in Data Warehouse development, with a strong understanding of data modeling and ETL processes.
- Proficient in Power BI, with a proven track record of developing impactful dashboards and reports.
- Experience mapping out and sourcing data from ERP systems. Familiarity with Dynamics or D365 F&O or Dynamix AX is a plus.
- Experience with Jet Data Manager and Jet Report development is strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
