We are seeking a seasoned professional with a robust background in data management and business intelligence spanning over twelve years. Proficiency in data modeling, OLAP cube development, SSIS package creation, and report development using MS SSRS is essential. The ideal candidate should possess extensive technical skills, including SQL programming and familiarity with MS SQL products. Additionally, experience with healthcare IT domains, specifically HIV/AIDS Patient Care Applications, is preferred. Responsibilities include optimizing existing data exchange interfaces, developing new interfaces, documenting modifications, and collaborating with various teams to meet user-defined requirements. This role demands strong project management skills, adherence to departmental standards, and availability for COVID-19 related support as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate for this contracting position must meet the following qualifications and demonstrate relevant experience:
Data Management Expertise:
5-10 years of hands-on experience in data modeling, data mining, database standardization, deduplication, and performance tuning.
Twelve years of proficiency in developing Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cubes using SQL Server Analysis Services.
Extensive experience in developing SQL Server Integration Services packages for Extraction, Transformation, and Loading activities over twelve years.
Business Intelligence Skills:
5-10 years of experience in dashboard and scorecard development.
Proficiency in developing reports and maintaining enterprise reports using MS SQL Server Reporting Services (MS SSRS) for twelve years.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools and systems, with a focus on SSRS, for twelve years.
Technical Proficiency:
5-10 years of working knowledge with MS SQL products, including MS SQL 2016.
5-10 years of experience in SQL programming, encompassing stored procedures, functions, triggers, scheduled jobs, and linked servers.
5-10 years of experience with SQL relational databases, Online Transaction Processing (OLTP), and Decision Support System (DSS) serving in high-performance, service-oriented, multi-tiered environments.
Software Development and Management:
5-10 years of experience with Source Control systems such as Visual Studio Team Services or Team Foundation Server.
5-10 years of experience with software build and release management methodologies.
Project Management experience with a Project Management Certification (PMP) for five years (preferred not required).
Industry-specific Experience:
1-3 of experience in the healthcare IT domain.
1-3 years of experience with HIV/AIDS Patient Care Applications such as AIDS Information Management System (AIMS), AIDS Drug Assistant Program (ADAP), and Department Health Management System (HMS).
Contractor Responsibilities:
As a contractor, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks according to specified timelines and directives:
Service Tasks:
Monitor and optimize the performance of existing Data Exchange Interfaces, including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or any other HIV/AIDS data systems, on a daily basis as directed by the Department.
Develop and submit new Data Exchange Interfaces utilizing SSIS, File Mover, or other available tools daily as directed by the Department.
Document modifications and additions to integration processes, system technical objects, and system processes, storing them in a documentation repository daily as directed.
Develop and submit database objects in Transact-SQL (T-SQL) in support of programming changes daily as directed.
Generate and submit Ad-hoc reports and queries on MSSQL databases daily as directed.
Process release tickets to manage user requirements and defect tickets to correct system errors within specified timeframes.
Facilitate collecting system requirements with the Departments Division of Disease Control and Health Protection (DCHP) staff daily as directed.
Deliver code to perform system functions as defined in use requirements daily as assigned.
Perform testing on system changes to meet user-defined requirements daily as assigned.
Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the DCHP staff daily as assigned.
Produce and submit work estimates to implement user-defined requirements and system changes daily as directed.
Provide status reports on the implementation of user-defined requirements daily as directed.
Coordinate with the Departments Information Technology staff to ensure compliance with Department standards daily as directed.
Correspond (verbally and in written formats) with project teams, internal stakeholders regarding project activities deliverables, and status daily as directed.
Collaborate with the DCHP information technology teams to design, develop, and code based on business requirements for the DCHP Master Person Index project daily as directed.
Work with DCHP resources to standardize collection and storage of DCHP shared data daily as directed.
Provide support for COVID-19 related activities, including availability off hours, holidays, and weekends as needed by the Department.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $75,717.90 - $145,600.00 per year
