Job Description:
As a Data Scientist, the successful candidate will conducting cutting-edge scientific research within the fields of Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering, and Software Development. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of expertise in these areas, contributing to the development of innovative diagnostic tools and advancing biomedical research. This role involves tackling clinical challenges in viral diagnostics and infertility management, integrating various domains like biology, medicine, micro- and nanotechnology, consumer electronics, artificial intelligence, robotics, and healthcare automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct scientific research using data science methods, including designing experiments, analyzing complex data sets, and presenting findings.
- Develop and refine innovative solutions in healthcare, focusing on diagnostic tools and medical software.
- Maintain thorough documentation and records of research activities in compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and resolve technical and data-related challenges in research projects, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.
- Evaluate and validate new technologies, methodologies, and tools for potential application in healthcare research.
- Contribute to the development and prototyping of new medical technologies, including diagnostic devices and data-driven applications.
- Apply advanced machine learning and AI techniques to enhance healthcare solutions and automate medical processes.
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of researchers, clinicians, and engineers to meet research objectives and innovate healthcare solutions.
- Disseminate research findings through publications, conferences, and public engagement, enhancing the visibility and impact of the hospital's research.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and students engaged in research activities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with a focus on machine learning and AI.
- Proven experience in machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, with a preference for healthcare applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, MATLAB, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Keras.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a track record of resolving complex data and technical issues in research projects.
- Strong communication skills, both for collaborative work and for presenting complex data in an understandable manner.
- A history of publishing in scientific journals and presenting at conferences.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with machine learning applications in healthcare.
- Familiarity with software development and deployment tools.
- Knowledge of DevOps and cloud computing platforms.
