Data Scientist, Consumer Insights

The company currently operates 130+ stores across Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma and growing.
Salad and Go is seeking a Data Scientist, Consumer Insights to help inform our most important decisions as we continue on our massive growth trajectory. Reporting to the Director of Consumer Insights, this role will be instrumental in uncovering valuable learnings and delivering actionable recommendations, leveraging a wide variety of sources including internal first-party databases, syndicated/market research, custom studies, media intelligence, and more.
As a Consumer InsightsData Scientist, you will:

• Query data, run analyses, build dashboards, and provide insights on our guests
• Maintain a deep understanding of the Salad and Go guest utilizing our first party database - ongoing querying and surfacing of opportunities that will inform marketing & business decisions
• Support measurement of media performance to inform marketing mix optimization in collaboration with media agencies
• Support culinary innovation planning with insights from specific Salad and Go guest behavior
• Own regular and ad hoc reporting of guest behavior to inform action
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across the business to generate meaningful hypotheses, uncover validated answers, and recommend courses of action

Requirements

• Genuine curiosity & willingness to iterate in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to gather, clean, analyze and interpret large and complex datasets
• Strategic thinker with good collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, & Tableau; other programming languages & applied experience with predictive modeling is a plus
• Experience in e-commerce, restaurant, or retail preferred
• 3+ years demonstrated experience in data science or Consumer Insights
