Description:
A Data Scientist is a professional who uses analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect large data sets. They develop data-driven solutions explicitly tailored toward the needs of an organization.
Duties:
- Develop BI reports highlighting analytics and data patterns
- Create data models and conduct advanced analytics
- Conduct statistical experiments and tests
- Create predictive models for evaluating fan engagement and player performance
- Implement best practices for report development
- Support the analysis, design, development, and implementation of new reporting requirements and KPIs
- Document technical specifications, data models, process flows, requirements, and solutions
- Work with data architects and engineers to identify key data assets and develop code to access data via APIs
- Collaborate with delivery and technical team members on design and development of solutions
- Understand business processes, underlying data and reporting needs
- Conduct data analysis in support of development and other activities
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Special projects or other duties as assigned
A Data Scientist shall have the following qualifications:
• Three (3) or more years experience developing and implementing machine learning models,
creating and analyzing statistics, and transforming and analyzing machine data.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Sociology,
Economics or Econometrics, Statistics, or related field.
Or other comparable certifications or experience, which must be approved in advance by the
Government Program Manager on a case-by-case basis.
Location:
This position may be staffed at the Government’s facilities near Burlington, VT or near Camp Springs,
MD, or other locations in the United States with approval by the Government.
