As a Data & Performance Analytics Analyst at United Rentals, you will use your abilities to analyze performance analytics to help drive the efforts to use data in improved decision-making with the goal of increased return on investment (ROI) and profitable growth.

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate the use of analytics, visualization, and data modeling to drive improved decision-making.
Utilize SQL to model data sources into analysis-ready data sets.
Query and analyze data using Tableau, and review data for production systems.
Partner with corporate departments, identify areas where data is underutilized and create action plans that capitalize on data use.
Point of contact for a broad range of Data & Analytics questions for corporate departments and process areas.
Assigned as Project Manager to 1 or more Data & Analytics projects.
Works with the Manager to create project schedules and cost estimates, and coordinates meetings with cross-functional Business and IT Leads to update/verify schedules/estimates.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in IT, information science or business-related field
2+ years in system support or business analyst role
Demonstrates strong project management skills
Must have the ability to write unaided optimized SQL queries and stored procedures
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with business leads daily
Must have competency in Tableau
Experience with Snowflake, Teradata /or MSSql /or Oracle is a plus
Business Intelligence system administration is a plus
Web Service and API development, REST/SOAP, JSON, PHP. Experience with Alation REST API /or Tableau Server REST API is a plus
