Job Title: Data Monitoring Engineer

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Data Monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of our data systems and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand monitoring requirements and define monitoring strategies.
• Configure and customize monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Data Dog to meet specific monitoring needs.
• Develop monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide visibility into system performance and identify potential issues.
• Monitor key performance metrics and trends to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis of performance incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in Data Monitoring and performance management.
• Provide guidance and support to other team members on Data Monitoring best practices and tool usage.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to monitoring alerts and incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Monitoring or related roles.
• Strong experience with Data Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Data Dog, Splunk, or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and customization of monitoring solutions.
• Solid understanding of database systems, data pipelines, and distributed computing architectures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in Data Monitoring or related fields are desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
