We are seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients upon arrival
- Register new patients, update demographics for existing patients
- Maintains patient database by entering new and updated patient and account information
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures for each study, following amendments as needed
- Verifies entered patient data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data as needed
- Performs data entry functions with a minimum error rate, as determined by study protocols
- Perform routine administrative tasks to support medical staff
- Answers phones and scheduling patients for various studies
- Professional communication with office staff and healthcare professionals via email and phone
- Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in medical office or healthcare administration
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Required Skills/Experience:
- Able to use computer systems
- Polished customer service skills and a real ability to understand our patients’ needs
- The ability to handle and seek to resolve patient complaints if they arise, with tact and positive outcomes
- Must be reliable and punctual in attendance
