This position is responsible for efficiently and accurately inputting transportation and load data into the Transportation Management System (TMS). The Data Entry Specialist plays a crucial role in in ensuring the smooth operation of the logistics and supply chain processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Input and update transportation-related information and load details into the TMS.
Identify and resolve discrepancies, errors, or issues related to load entries to prevent disruptions in the transportation process.
Monitor the status of loads and shipments, ensuring real time visibility and processing adjustments as needed to maintain on-time deliveries.
Maintain organized records and documentation related to load entries, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies.
Work closely with the logistics and transportation team members to support the overall operation and efficiency of the logistics department.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Strong Data Entry skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks
Excellent customer service, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make swift, sound judgments
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer operations
