SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Data Entry Operator position is to provide for Data Entry and verifier operations for the accurate transfer of coded information to computer readable format in the Department of Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Medicine.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Clinical Data Abstraction and Data Entry: Abstract and code information from medical records, research charts, and other collection tools for Data Entry into their respective database(s), according to institutional and federal regulations and compliance requirements.
Review collection tools to ensure the data collection instruments meet the requirements of the project.
Cross reference data collection tools with database collection forms to ensure Data Entry proficiency.
Coordinate and effectively communicate with all stakeholders for the integrity and viability of the data.
Quality Review of Data: Perform quality assurance tasks on abstracted and entered data. Maintain integrity of data collected and identify missing values.
Enter information into coded format as required.
Coordinate and effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure integrity of data collected.
Oversight of Survey distributions and reporting: Responsible for composing the distribution of clinical research study surveys in various survey distribution platforms.
Oversight and routine maintenance of the survey platforms for optimal distribution including initial invitation(s) and reminders.
The ability to perform and communicate technical difficulties and seek guidance from an array of resources. Responsible for developing, preparing, and maintaining reports for Data Entry progress and survey distributions.
Other Duties as Assigned
Education Required - High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Required - Six months, Data Entry, and/or verifier experience. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
Experience Preferred - some knowledge of clinical or clinical research
