Position Summary: The Data Entry Clerk will perform routine clerical work associated with data processing work methods and procedures. The clerk’s duties are varied and require the application of independent judgement and the maintenance of written controls to ensure the accuracy of data produced. The Data Processor performs duties under the general supervision of an immediate supervisor, who evaluates performance through observation of work, periodic conferences, critiques, and/or records and reports.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares and maintains necessary records and verification of information contained in data systems.
- Converts source information to computerized formats.
- Organizes digitized documents into folders that can be uploaded to various cloud-based systems.
- Checks source documents to ensure required information is present and properly coded, and, if applicable, returns documents to initiator for necessary corrections and additions.
- Processes and distributes invoices, statements, and correspondence.
- Enters regular invoices and routine travel reimbursement requests.
- Contacts various sites for invoice approval, processes and distributes high volume of mail.
- Compiles data and prepares a variety of reports and accounting statements.
- Performs basic computer skills.
- Enters data, creates, and manipulates basic spreadsheets, files documents, and performs other accounting or clerical functions.
- Provides quality customer service through statements and actions that improve and enhance the image of the collaborative group.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.
Education: A high school diploma, vocational, or GED certificate.
Experience: One (1) year of general clerical experience or successful completion of a data processing course may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Language Skills: Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Writes simple correspondence. Effectively presents information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills: Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio, and percent and draws and interprets bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Applies understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deals with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, PowerSchool,
