Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately input, update, and maintain various types of data into our systems and databases. The ideal candidate should possess excellent typing skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining data integrity. This role requires proficiency in using Data Entry software and ensuring that data is entered efficiently and accurately.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Input, update, and maintain data into computer systems and databases.

· Verify accuracy of data by comparing it to source documents or re-entering it in the system.

· Review data for errors, discrepancies, or missing information and correct as necessary.

· Ensure confidentiality and security of all data by following company policies and procedures.

· Perform regular data backups to ensure data preservation.

· Assist in the preparation of reports, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed.

· Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure Data Entry tasks are completed accurately and on time.

· Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary information or clarification on data.

· Maintain organized and efficient filing systems for easy retrieval of data.

· Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance Data Entry efficiency and accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Excellent typing skills and proficiency in using Data Entry software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in Data Entry.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.

· Familiarity with basic office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required, additional education or training in Data Entry or related field preferred.

Proven experience in Data Entry or administrative role preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to clearly communicate concepts, processes, and methods to enhance learning and skill building. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write business correspondence, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands, fingers, handle, or feel objects or keyboard and reach with hands and arms. In addition to repetitive motion and visual strain. The employee is sometimes required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee may lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is primarily in an office that is a well-lit, collaborative space, and climate controlled. The work environment is also a quiet atmosphere, while there may be some background noise from office activities it is usually minimal. The nature of the work involves adherence to ergonomic considerations to reduce strain or injury. This may include adjustable chairs, ergonomic keyboards and computer monitors positioned at the eye, with or without a monitor stand. The work environment is professional and respectful, with an emphasis on teamwork, collaboration and integrity. Remote work is an option as well.

SCHEDULE:

Typical hours of office hours are M-F between 8:00 am-5pm. The work schedule is structured and allows for breaks and lunch periods as required by company policy.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.10 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
