ABOUT THE POSITION

The Data Engineer/Architect will add value to the business by unlocking and integrating high-quality data across enterprise applications and analytics solutions to enhance customer experiences and data accessibility.  The role excels in technical aspects of data management, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to facilitate the awareness and adoption of processes and data.   

This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting data solutions across ERP, CRM, PIM, MDM, and data warehousing solutions, emphasizing the integration, quality, and accessibility of data to enhance customer experiences. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

• Data Architecture and Application Integration:
• Designs and develops comprehensive data models and architecture, ensuring seamless integration of ERP, PIM, MDM, CRM and data lake solutions.
• Lead initiatives for integrating business applications to improve data flow and accessibility, enhancing customer service capabilities. 
• Data Engineering and System Optimization:
• Construct and maintain scalable data pipelines, facilitating effective data exchange between integrated applications.
• Optimize data storage and processing in data warehouses and lakes to support advanced analytics.
• Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
• Collaborate with various departments, including IT, marketing, sales, finance, distribution, manufacturing, and customer experience, to understand and meet their data needs.
• Lead cross-functional projects to ensure that data strategies align with business objectives.
• Data Governance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with data governance policies.
• Regularly evaluate data systems for quality assurance and make improvements to enhance customer service.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. 
• 5-7 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications and data warehouse solutions.
• Expertise in integrating on-premise and cloud-hosted solutions.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, C#, or similar programming languages
• Expertise in ETL solutions, including SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Tipco Cloud Integration, or similar 
• Experience with master data management and data quality solutions.
• Proven ability in leading cross-functional teams and projects.
• Strong focus on customer service and experience in managing data for customer-oriented applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills; methodical, timely, and documented solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in interacting with users to learn business functions and to train on software functionality.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
