In this role, you will:
- Owns operational excellence for a data / reporting platform including visualizations, ingestion, and data engineering. Ability to work across multiple teams to facilitate resolution of support issues.
- Drive optimized performance and issue resolution of critical data ingestion and reports.
- Work directly with architects and data engineers to help reproduce and resolve customer issues
- Drive customer communication during critical events and lead retrospective meetings
- Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customers' technical support experience with minimal guidance
- Collaborate, partner and build relationships with cross functional stakeholders, including technical and functional users.
- Act as a central escalation point for highly critical and/or highly impactful application outages and incidents.
- Triage/debug production issues (Data, Code, Performance, Security, etc.), identify root cause and corrective actions
- Establish best practices for support methodology and processes including maintenance and support roadmaps, processes and technical documentation.
- Enhance monitoring and alerting for all technical components by creating dashboards, visualizations, baselines, and alerts
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 4 plus years' experience in Data Operations and/or digital operations
Desired Characteristics
Technical:
- Knowledge of ITIL processes or IT operations experience
- Knowledge of data engineering utilizing Talend, HVR or other ETL / CDC tool
- Knowledge of data visualization utilizing Spotfire or related visualization tool
- Knowledge of database technologies and cloud services such as AWS
- Knowledge Oracle BI tools such as OBIEE and Oracle Analytics Server
Business Acumen:
- Experience in mission critical IT operations support environments
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization and external customers
- Experience working in a global organization
Leadership:
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Personal Attributes:
- Ability to work as part of a team in building, administering, and deploying systems
- Experience administering a production-state system, and interacting directly with customers
