Data Developer (Charlotte, NC)

The Select Group is seeking a Data Developer for our top Telecommunication client. In this role, you will play a crucial role in extracting, analyzing, aggregating, and developing data for an Enterprise Marketing team. We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual who is passionate about leveraging data to drive business growth and success. Ideal candidates will be local to Charlotte, NC for occasional office visits.

Data Developer required skills:

• 5+ years of Database Development and Analysis experience in a professional setting.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience writing complex SQL queries using joins, subqueries, and SQL functions.
• Experience working with ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Experience with Teradata and/or Amazon Redshift databases.
• Background in marketing, ideally in B2B marketing.
• Experience with automation tools such as Alteryx, Informatica, etc.

Day to day responsibilities:

• Support a complex enterprise organization in a hybrid role, initially focused on operational data procurement and assembly tasks and evolving into more data analysis and development.
• Build, maintain, and scale processes to deliver well-defined, transformed, tested, documented and code-reviewed data to business users and downstream systems to help the company strategically use data to operate and grow the business.
• Will work on high-impact projects that improve data availability and quality and provide reliable access to data for the rest of the business.
• Applies software engineering methodologies and business logic to produce and maintain analytics code used to transform raw data into consumable information.
• Responsible for implementation and support of ETL, monitoring and reporting processes.
• Analyze data system integration challenges and propose optimized solutions.
• Write complex SQLs using joins, sub queries and SQL queries for cross verification of data.
• Provide data extracts and metrics to answer business questions in a timely manner.
• Communicate complex topics and analyses to non-technical business personnel.
