Salary Range: $115k-$120k/Annum + benefits
Job Description:
- Monitoring and performing on-going maintenance on servers, network, appliances & Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining Data Center equipment
- Providing IT support to staff and customers, as well as responding to the server and network issues.
- Protecting company data by preventing the overheating of Data Center components.
- Running hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner.
- Monitoring all network processes to ensure the smooth flow of data across the network.
- Collaborating with application, Servers and network engineering teams on cybersecurity and network efficiency.
- Upgrading internal system components, including CPUs, memory, hard drives, and network cables.
- Proficiency in Documenting processes and keeping event logs.
- Advising on the procurement of new Data Center equipment.
- Keeping track of developing trends in Data Center technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Data Center environments, servers, and network equipment.
- Ability to keep up with advancements in Data Center infrastructure and technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Willingness to support 24/7 operations team and respond to issues after hours.
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and fire suppression systems.
- Perform Power cycles of physical equipment.
- Cabling inspections, including tracing & testing (with provided testing tools)
- Providing shipping/receiving support of the devices
- Supporting Asset Management Audits/Updates
- Responding to incident/changes and requests within the data hall
- Visual hardware inspections of IT hardware components
- Install IT hardware components as directed (i.e., power supplies, server/network hardware (modules reseat/replacement), hot swappable hardware, etc)
- Escort and monitor outside contractors/ensure they are abiding by Data Center work rules.
