Position Overview:
Interacts with Information Services (IS) support teams throughout Sutter Health and its regional affiliates as well as contractors and vendors ensuring facilities problems are identified and repaired in a timely manner. Develops creative approaches to keep operational costs to a minimum while improving efficiency and implementing new strategies. Identifies, analyzes, and leads specification, configuration, and installation activities on approved hardware that complies with standards and procedures.
3-5yrs Desired
• Computer-related work experience in Data Center operations
• Familiar with IP network environment and have experience with LANS/WANS.
• Two or more years in mechanical/HVAC, electrical, or a combination of both
• At least 4 years of plant operation or working knowledge of EPA/OSHA regulations and training experience.
2yrs Desired
• Proficient in MS Office Suite. Knowledge of CAD (Computer Automated Design) or similar.
• Advanced knowledge of networking and telecom equipment.
• Proficient in electrical distribution systems (UPS Systems, Transfer Switches, Generators, 3 Phase Power).
• Excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a Data Center environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units and CRAC units.
• Communicate intelligently and effectively with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on these systems.
• HAZWOPER, DOT Hazardous Materials, and OSHA 30-hour a plus.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Associate's: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
1 year recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Working knowledge of server operating systems, Citrix, visualization technologies, provisioning, monitoring, and inventory toolsets, directory services, and messaging/communication technologies.
Beginner's knowledge of mainframe and server hardware, operating systems, networks, and communications protocols.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiar with Computer Automated Design (CAD).
Intermediate knowledge of networking and telecom equipment.
Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.

Pay Range is $28.25 to $40.95 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
