The Wealth & Asset Management Solutions (WAMS) team is part of Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) enterprise.The WAMS team is responsible for the distribution and support of proprietary, and certain third-party Asset Management products and services for consultants and advisors across multiple distribution channels. The team also supports the marketing efforts of solutions, working closely with Offer Management, Product and Marketing teams. We are looking to add a WAMS Distribution Data Business Analyst to our talented Distribution Strategy and Enablement team.  

 

The WAMS Distribution Data Business Analyst will advocate on behalf of the broader WAMS Distribution organization by understanding the needs of field and client facing colleagues across all distribution and service channels (i.e., Retail, RIA, Intermediary and Consultant Relations, Relationship Management and Service) and the full suite of product and offer coverage (i.e., wealth, managed investing, funds). The role will understand, interpret, and translate these business needs to technology, data, and analytics partners and help identify the team and delivery mechanism (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau) appropriate for specific initiatives.

 

The role will also be required to efficiently manage a pipeline of several requests and initiatives, help prioritize efforts with partners, and ensure strong communication and awareness among the WAMS team and other key stakeholders. A critical part of the role will also be the ability to position, package, and present insights based on the data in an effective manner to various audiences. A strong technical background, understanding of Wealth and Asset Management distribution, and ability to develop and deepen relationships all will be crucial aspects in identifying a successful candidate for this role. What you have

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of data product ownership/product management experience in the finance/Asset Management industry; knowledge of sales and distribution strongly preferred 
  • Experience with operational and analytical data models, as well as various data integration patterns and the use cases they support
  • Experience representing data stakeholders in the implementation of customer relations management and sales enablement solutions 
  • Experience with data integration, data visualization, and reporting requirements authoring, and data profiling techniques to refine those requirements 
  • Experience creating analyses, reports and presentations to communicate results and insights to a wide range of audiences and stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with data and technology teams to implement and manage sales supporting platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive efficient prioritization through effective collaboration and relationship management 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to tailor messaging for appropriate audiences (e.g., technical vs. business) 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Sufficient depth of experience to interact effectively with sales personnel and leaders via meetings, presentations, and written reports
  • Experience with data warehousing practices, data lakes and Database Integrated Development Environments (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio) and querying languages (e.g., SQL)
  • Experience with customer relationship management (Salesforce) and sales enablement tools (Tableau, Marketo, Customer Collaboration tools) 
  • Scrum or SAFe Product Owner certification(s) (e.g., PSPO, CSPO, SAFe POPM)
  • Understanding of Schwab's data environment and structure
