Business Data Analyst Intern

About This Internship:
As a Business Data Analyst intern at arrivia , you will have an opportunity to work with real data to help facilitate decisions throughout the company. The position will work on projects throughout the duration of the summer internship program to meet both your educational goals and data analytics goals of our department. Projects will include interpreting customer purchasing data while mapping out the transaction journey as well as identifying areas of opportunity for transaction fall out. This role will work in our Corporate Office in Scottsdale, Arizona for the duration of the internship and have an opportunity to interact with other interns working throughout the company.
Essential Responsibilities:

• Work with data related to customer shopping and purchase patterns to map out the journey to transaction completion
• Identify pain points of the purchase journey which cause a transaction to not complete
• Identify areas of opportunity for the customer journey and provide resolutions and stop gaps for the business
• Assist with automated reporting to identify patterns and analyze data
• Assist in day to day exporting of other data
• Organize, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns
• Assist in analyzing other business goals, objectives, and needs
• Present standard data sets and information in an understandable and compelling manner
• Work with other members of the team on projects as needed

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing degree in Business Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or similar degree program - junior or senior year level.
• Desire to pursue a career in corporate environment post-graduation
• Have a passion for using data to make intelligent business decisions
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Pivot Tables, Power BI
• Experience using Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other computer programming language preferred
• Superior attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate information verbally confidently and clearly
• Ability to learn and act in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in the corporate office located in Scottsdale, Arizona
• Ability to work up to 40 hours a week
• Ability to commit to the full length (10 weeks) of the internship program
