Job Description Summary
This position will support the translational big data analytic approaches to advance drug repurposing and novel method development using machine learning for complex diseases including Alzheimer's disease. Primary responsibilities include: analyze multi-omics data using machine learning or deep learning and perform appropriate QC measures; benchmark new next-generation sequencing tools as they become available and actively seek to improve in-house analysis pipelines; develop and apply deep learning approaches specific to imaging genomics; planning and participating in research meetings; composing and maintaining scientific meeting minutes; editing manuscripts, grants, and IRB submissions; producing tables and data for manuscripts and presentations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze multi-omics data and/or electronic health record (EHR) data using machine learning or deep learning techniques
  • Benchmark new AI approaches as they become available and actively seeking improvements to in-house analysis pipelines
  • Develop and apply machine/deep learning approaches specific to imaging genomics.
  • Provide report, tabular and graphic summaries of analyses.
  • Editing manuscripts, grants, and IRB submissions.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience programming in Python, R or equivalent required.
  • Experience or training in statistics or machine learning, and working in Unix and high performing environments preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in an academic research setting and function well independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Must have superior organizational skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
