Data Architect - Google Cloud Platform

Job Description:

In response to a rapidly growing demand for robust reporting and analytics, DealerOn is upscaling its data strategy, from platform to people. In support of this initiative, we are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our Data and Insights team. This role will lead the design and implementation of a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data warehouse and data marts for customer facing dashboards, enterprise reporting and ultimately, advanced analytics to inform creative and innovative solutions for product development and sales strategies.

This is a mid-level position, based remotely.

Essential Functions:

• Design and build a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data warehouse using Dataform, BigQuery, Cloud Composer and other GCP tools
• Build and maintain ELT data ingestion pipelines from GA4, Salesforce and other application sources using Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, Data Transfer Service, and BigQuery
• Develop and execute complex SQL transformations and workflows using Dataform or dbt
• Manage development, review and deployment of code changes using Bitbucket
• Create and deploy data models/explores to support Looker and Looker Studio dashboards
• Develop and deploy data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data integrity
• Provide strategic and tactical input on master data management and data warehouse architecture
• Remain current on new developments in GCP, data analytics, and predictive analytics/machine learning

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years of overall experience in architecting, developing, testing and implementing data projects using GCP components (e.g. BigQuery, Composer, Dataform, Dataflow, Dataproc, DLP, BigTable, Pub/Sub, Cloud Function etc)
• Minimum 8+ years of experience with data management strategy formulation, architectural blueprinting, and effort estimation
• Demonstrated proficiency with dbt and/or Dataform for data modeling required
• Strong data orchestration experience using tools such has Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, Apache Airflow or related.
• Familiarity with GCP best practices for Data Architecture and engineering
• Proficiency with SQL (specifically BigQuery), Python, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Storage, and most Google Cloud APIs
• Prior experience with Google Analytics (UA or GA4) data
• Deeply curious, pragmatic and solutions-oriented

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Knowledge of Salesforce objects and APIs
• Experience with JIRA project management and DevOps
• Familiarity with Looker, Looker Studio and LookML
• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related
• Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands
• Familiarity with Java, C++
• Agile development including Scrum and other lean techniques is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $86,100 - $171,700.

The maximum range shown represents your earning potential with DealerOn for the life time of the role.
