Description
The Data Architect will partner with business leaders and stakeholders to develop Betco's next generation data platform for analytics and insights. Reporting to the CIO, the Data Architect will develop the strategies, processes, and technologies to utilize data across the organization to improve decision making, optimize operations, and enhance customer value.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Partner with the business to identify strategic data sets and develop innovative solutions for data and reporting needs
- Design a future state Data Architecture and develop a prioritized roadmap with leaders and stakeholders
- Analyze existing data processes and identify gaps, opportunities, and strengths
- Design and implement processes and systems to source, aggregate, access, and interpret data from internal and external sources
- Automate data management tasks to optimize internal systems and maintain data integrity
- Develop the next generation of tools and solutions to replace legacy reports and Excel based tracking tools
- Establish best practices and standards for Power BI and other visualization tools
- Implement data auditing solutions and processes to enhance data integrity across critical systems and data sets
- Lead and promote a culture of data driven decision making, learning, development, and continuous process improvement
- Mentor and coach team members to improve data acumen and analytical skills across the organization
- Establish and implement data governance to ensure data privacy and confidentiality
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Building and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes from multiple sources and enterprise systems (ERP, CRM)
- Developing and maintaining ETL tools, solutions, and processes
- Scripting languages and programming frameworks (JavaScript, Python, R)
- Proficient with visualization tools (Power BI)
- Cloud database experience is preferred
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Strong communication skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study
Four or more years of direct experience
Manufacturing experience a plus
