General Summary:
Early career professional familiar with configuration and data management functions needed to support the Space Launch System (SLS) Program at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). This position will primarily perform the Data Quality Assurance (DQA) function within the SLS change management process utilizing ICE-Windchill, Jira and other Microsoft Office products to process data items and maintain the program technical baseline. This position will provide CDM support as part of the SLS System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) under the Lead Systems Engineer (LSE). Successful implementation requires initiative and flexibility to meet program milestones. The ability to understand the change management process, and to work with a variety of book managers to ensure accuracy of released data products an extremely active environment are key characteristics of the DQA position. Additionally, a key requirement is attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team in a hybrid telework environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the SLS SE&I CDM team with the management of data within ICE-Windchill.
- Support the Configuration Status Accounting function utilizing a Jira database.
- Work with individual Change Package Engineers to ensure accuracy of data items prior to release (verification that data reflects changes approved by the SLS control board(s).
- Handle CUI, ITAR and other export control or proprietary data following NASA and MSFC requirements and guidelines.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of applicable experience is desired.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Power Point) is required.
- Demonstrated strong organization skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently but as a member of a team to accomplish program objectives is desired.
- Experience with electronic tools or systems for data storage and maintenance is required.
- Certification in CDM or related field such as the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA) Certification is desired.
- Ability to obtain clearance/access onsite at NASA MSFC is required.
- US Citizenship required.
