Catalyst Strategic Solutions (CSS) has been providing Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and balance sheet advisory services to financial institutions for over 35 years. Brokerage services through our affiliate CU Investment Solutions, LLC. CSS is a wholly owned financial services organization of Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union. With this background, CSS is fully attuned to the regulatory, reporting, and management needs of financial institutions. Our client base includes financial institutions across the United States and represents asset sizes ranging from $5 million to over $50 billion.
The Work Itself
The Data Analyst is primarily responsible for compiling data from clients as the basis for database development. Responsibilities include loading, mapping and validating unstructured data from a variety of sources to standardized outputs, which drive valuation models. Must possess proficiency with SQL and data transformation tools (ETL) to understand and prepare data. The ideal person will have previous analytical experience working with relational databases, business intelligence platforms, and/or predictive modeling software. Works directly with internal and external clients to identify issues and drive resolution.
The Talent You Bring
Essential Requirements:
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics or related field
- Experience designing and developing ETL workflows and datasets in Alteryx
- Ability to prepare technical specifications and documentation for Alteryx workflows supporting downstream uses
- Experience creating, executing, tracking and maintaining manual and automated functional and regression test plans
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Detail oriented, deadline-conscious with ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with data visualization tools - Power BI
- Understanding of Fixed Income Analysis/Valuation and/or Financial Analysis
