The opportunity
In this role as a Data Analyst Intern on the Audience Data Team at TechnologyAdvice, you will have the unique opportunity to dive into the dynamic world of data analytics within the technology sector. As a crucial member of our team, you will be involved in collecting, processing, and analyzing large sets of audience data to extract valuable insights. Your responsibilities may include performing exploratory data analysis, creating meaningful visualizations, and contributing to the development of data-driven strategies.
Working closely with experienced Data Analysts, you will gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools and technologies, honing your skills in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and provide actionable recommendations based on your findings. This internship is designed to provide you with a well-rounded experience, fostering both personal and professional growth in the dynamic field of data analytics.
Must be available full-time from Monday, May 13th to Friday, August 9th.
What you'll do
- Handle data requests from diverse teams by executing SQL queries: Responsively address data requests from different teams, utilizing SQL queries to extract relevant information.
- Generate reports and data products using Tableau, Excel, Python, and SQL: Employ a combination of data visualization tools and programming languages to create reports and data products that align with the requirements of internal stakeholders.
- Detect and rectify errors in SQL queries for accurate insights: Identify and troubleshoot errors in SQL queries, ensuring that the data or insights provided not only fulfill business needs but also align with logical expectations.
- Identify gaps in data collection for analytical support: Analyze existing data collection processes to identify any gaps that might hinder analytical efforts, and propose solutions for comprehensive data coverage.
- Communicate data nuances and insights effectively: Clearly and concisely convey the intricacies of data and insights to internal stakeholders, facilitating better understanding and informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with business units for short-term tasks and long-term projects: Engage with various business units to evaluate, prioritize, execute, and interpret both short-term data tasks and long-term data projects.

- Knowledge of SQL is preferred
- Familiarity with data visualization tools, Tableau experience preferred
