DNA Data Analyst I

Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Data and Analytics team as aData Analyst,focusing on building Analytics solutions and platforms supporting our large-scale business transformation across our global business units and functions. Partnering with our businesses, you will work with large data sets, design metrics, develop data models and drive business cases that will empower our business growth, operational efficiency, and customer relationships. As a key member of our D&A team at ADM, youwill have the opportunity to make a difference to our business by building impactful solutions and delivering results through a variety of exciting and challenging projects. The Data Analyst is adept at analyzing data to find opportunities for our global businesses and provide insights. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing solutions and developing compelling story telling visualizations. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Use advanced analysis techniques and strong business acumen to deliver data-driven actionable insights and recommendations to address our global business challenges
Present compelling, validated stories to all levels of organization, including peers, senior management and internal customers to drive both strategic and operational changes in business
Partner with business users and leaders in problem solving approaches and translating business problems to analytics needs. Co-develop narratives and guide business users in interpretation of data, analysis/model results and insights
Manage end-to-end analysis processes including data gathering, data validation, analysis, and visualization. Analyze existing data sets to identify patterns, outliers, and areas of inconsistencies through relationships that exist in the data
Design reports, data visualizations and presentations to track model performance, business adoption and communicate business impact.
Work independently to structure analyses and develop insights. Organize material to facilitate reviews, quality checks, and presentation of findings.
Work collaboratively with data engineers and other data scientists in building scalable solutions and ensuring that we realize business value from analytics.
Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments and teams based on trust and mutual respect.
Adept at quickly acquiring software skills
Education Qualification & Skill Requirements:
4-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline like Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics or related field
Master's degree a plus
0-2 years of enterprise BI and Analytics technical implementation experience in an Agile environment
0-2 years of very strong programming skills in Python, R, with strong SQL skills
0-2 years of strong knowledge of visualization in Power BI and Tableau
Demonstratable knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
Working knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, etc.)
Experience in an Azure environment highly preferred
Experience working with enterprise scale databases, with demonstrated ability to independently query and prepare data for analysis
Knowledge of data warehouse, data mart, ETL / ELT pipelines, data modeling
Self-directed, innovative thinker. In addition to a strong attention to detail, strong candidates will also be able to see the strategic implications for the business in the big picture. You are fluent in telling the story to both technical and non-technical audiences
Comfort with problem solving frameworks, root cause analysis, hypothesis testing, and translation of insights into business impact
Strong business aptitude, the ability to rapidly learn new problem domains, and become conversant in the domain with subject matter experts
