Job Description
- Assist with accurate sales forecasting, taking into consideration historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the broader sales team to understand promotions, product launches, and discontinuations that may impact demand forecasting.
- Update forecast and account specific reports using advanced excel models.
- Continued improvement of existing reports and models to increase business efficiencies.
- Conduct thorough category analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on category data.
- Monitor and analyze competitor’s strategies and products.
- Assist with the development of compelling category decks, ensuring data-driven insights are communicated clearly and effectively.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Some travel (<5%) may be required on an as needed basis, with advance notice provided to the employee.
- Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with syndicated data, specifically SPINS, Nielsen, or IRI
- Experience in Category Management, sales, or Demand Planning in the CPG industry
- Ability to dissect complex data and derive meaningful insights to inform decision-making.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, with ADVANCED Excel skills required.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and balance competing priorities.
- Flexible to shift between changing priorities without missing details
- Able to work independently without the need for day to day supervision
- Able to manage work flow and load in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- This role involves sitting most of the time, but may also involve moving for brief periods of time.
