Job description

Responsibilities:
Noblis is seeking a Data Analyst in Bethesda, MD or McLean, VA. With our team, you will be working with our mission focused client program in a dynamic environment to provide technical and analytic support to a small, high-impact team.

Primary responsibilities include but is not limited to the following:
  • Work with Data Scientists to build statistical models, test hypotheses, and interpret, summarize, visualize, and succinctly report data findings.
  • Leverage automation and machine learning models to manage data, predict scenarios, and make recommendations to a non-technical audience.
  • Contribute to building new analytical tools in support of the IC customer and will collaborate with team members in a highly technical environment.
  • Leverage technical frameworks and collaboration technologies, including Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Git.
  • Ability to work within a highly dynamic environment, with senior leaders and action officers alike from across the IC.
  • Ability to lead or contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to develop and deliver technical findings, and communicate key data points to varied technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications:
Must possess an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph


Junior Level
  • Bachelors degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 0+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of IC policies and procedures.
  • Experience with scripting in Python
  • Experience (either on-the-job or in an academic setting) working with data manipulation techniques and statistics
  • Knowledge of computer science concepts, data architecture, and common statistical models
  • Knowledge of all-source intelligence, including SIGINT, and/or HUMINT collection reports
  • Familiarity with cable writing styles and classified client databases, including specific targeting tools
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with key US foreign policies and national security objectives related to Counterterrorism (CT), Counterproliferation, Counterspace, Cyber, or Counterintelligence.

Journeyman Level:
  • Bachelors degree with 5+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of IC policies and procedures.
  • Experience with scripting in Python
  • Experience (either on-the-job or in an academic setting) working with data manipulation techniques and statistics
  • Knowledge of computer science concepts, data architecture, and common statistical models
  • Knowledge of all-source intelligence, including SIGINT, and/or HUMINT collection reports
  • Familiarity with cable writing styles and classified client databases, including specific targeting tools
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with key US foreign policies and national security objectives related to Counterterrorism (CT), Counterproliferation, Counterspace, Cyber, or Counterintelligence.

Senior Level
  • Bachelors degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 7+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of IC policies and procedures.
  • Experience with scripting in Python
  • Experience (either on-the-job or in an academic setting) working with data manipulation techniques and statistics
  • Knowledge of computer science concepts, data architecture, and common statistical models
  • Knowledge of all-source intelligence, including SIGINT, and/or HUMINT collection reports
  • Familiarity with cable writing styles and classified client databases, including specific targeting tools
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with key US foreign policies and national security objectives related to Counterterrorism (CT), Counterproliferation, Counterspace, Cyber, or Counterintelligence.

SME Level
  • Bachelors degree with 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 9+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of IC policies and procedures.
  • Experience with scripting in Python
  • Experience (either on-the-job or in an academic setting) working with data manipulation techniques and statistics
  • Knowledge of computer science concepts, data architecture, and common statistical models
  • Knowledge of all-source intelligence, including SIGINT, and/or HUMINT collection reports
  • Familiarity with cable writing styles and classified client databases, including specific targeting tools
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with key US foreign policies and national security objectives related to Counterterrorism (CT), Counterproliferation, Counterspace, Cyber, or Counterintelligence.

Senior SME Level
  • Bachelors degree with 15+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 12+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of IC policies and procedures.
  • Experience with scripting in Python
  • Experience (either on-the-job or in an academic setting) working with data manipulation techniques and statistics
  • Knowledge of computer science concepts, data architecture, and common statistical models
  • Knowledge of all-source intelligence, including SIGINT, and/or HUMINT collection reports
  • Familiarity with cable writing styles and classified client databases, including specific targeting tools
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with key US foreign policies and national security objectives related to Counterterrorism (CT), Counterproliferation, Counterspace, Cyber, or Counterintelligence.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
