GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
A Data Analyst is responsible for providing analytics solutions to all levels of the organization by using creativity and a variety of business intelligence tools to transform data into meaningful insights.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collecting and cleaning data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and web APIs.
  • Use variety of applications & tools in analytics project lifecycle (SQL, Power-BI, Tableau Python) to ensure robust pipelines and data accuracy/integrity and security.
  • Develop front end applications using no-code/low-code platforms (Power Apps, SharePoint, Power Automate) to streamline and automate various business processes.
  • Work to eliminate routine/manual data handling tasks by automating new processes/methods to improve business processes and efficiency.
  • Be an excellent communicator who can drive the full cycle of analytics workflow, from requirements-gathering to data-collection, to reporting and visualization.
  • Identify and analyze trends in time-dependent data, both independently and in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Maintain databases and data systems by addressing errors and monitoring performance.
  • Analyzing collected data and applying formats that are accessible to all users.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis/solutions ranging from client analysis, business analysis, process reporting, and internal KPI tracking.
  • Maintain up to date understanding with emerging trends in data analysis and tools.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree in Business, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 1 year Data Analyst or related experience, including proficiency with analytical software or related education plus degree.
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python or R to be able to process data and perform statistical analysis.
  • Experience developing custom business applications and business process automation.
  • Experience designing thoughtful and end-user focused interfaces (either code intensive or in low-code/no-code environments).
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze data sets, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis & techniques, such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and clustering analysis.
  • Ability to take initiative without established guidelines and procedures using independent judgment.
  • Ability to independently research problem areas, facilitate meetings and decision-making processes.
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear and understandable way through data visualizations, such as graphs, charts, and tables, using visualization tools such as Power-BI, Tableau, Excel, and QlikView.
  • Ability to manage and manipulate datasets using database management tools, such as SQL, NoSQL, and Power Query.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience applying analytical methods to business problems, driving improved decision making and outcomes.
  • Advance PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
