SalaryEssential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serves as subject matter expert for the analysis of BRFSS data at IDOH.
- Conducts general analysis of BRFSS data; serves as project lead for analyses utilizing BRFSS data, as assigned.
- Contributes to complex analysis of BRFSS data, as requested
- Collaborates with internal and external partners to develop Client ways of using and reporting out surveillance data on health outcomes.
- Develops effective reports to communicate findings with target audience(s)
- Develops compelling data visualizations to communicate findings, including Tableau dashboards
- Presents key findings and summaries of results to internal and external stakeholders
- Cleans and validates BRFSS data with minimal guidance
- Conducts data quality checks to ensure the validity and cleanliness of BRFSS data prior to use in analysis and reporting
- Adheres to HIPAA and other state statutes concerned with protecting data confidentiality and individual privacy
- Supports IDOH Data Transformation Office activities, as requested.
