Position Summary
This role supports a major public utility client. The Data Analyst will support multiple business units with reporting and data needs. Excel will be the primary tool used and the applicant should have an advanced knowledge of Excel.
In this role, the successful candidate will:
- Generate daily and weekly reports by pulling data from SAP and organizing it in an easily readable format.
- Update GIS with Ahead of Paving information for NJ towns.
- Download project actuals from SAP and update forecasts.
- Monitor streetlight outage reports and contact project managers responsible for addressing the issues.
- Manage cash flow and project forecasting.
- Conduct variance reporting.
- Respond to ad hoc requests to create or update Excel files.
Position Qualifications
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or construction management required.
- 3 - 8 years' experience required.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and independently in both an in-person and remote setting preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Detail oriented preferred.
- Knowledge of ACCESS and SQL is not required but a plus.
- Adaptability to take on new roles regularly preferred.
Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
