Fusion Dance Centre is seeking a tap instructor for beginner through advanced levels, ages 7-18. Looking for a seasoned instructor who can build a strong foundation focused on musicality in both Broadway and rhythm tap styles, including improvisation, in a positive and uplifting classroom environment. Experience choreographing for both recital and competition is a must, including creative staging and use of arms and upper body. The ability to teach additional styles such as jazz, hip hop, and contemporary is a plus. Looking for a dedicated professional who is invested in growing with the program for years to come.
We are seeking a modern Dance Instructor for beginner through advanced levels, ages 10-18. Looking for a seasoned instructor who can teach foundations in all styles including Horton, Graham, and Limon, as well as strong technique and musicality in a positive, uplifting classroom environment. Experience choreographing for both concert and competitive venues is preferred, the ability to teach additional styles such as contemporary, ballet, and jazz is a plus. We are seeking a hip-hop instructor for beginner through advanced levels, ages 5-17. Looking for a seasoned instructor who teaches a full class including warm-up, across the floor, and a combination, with a curriculum rooted in the foundations of hip-hop technique. The ability to teach breaking and boys-only classes is a plus, and age-appropriate music and class content is a must. Must also have experience choreographing for recitals and competitions. The ability to teach additional styles such as pom, jazz, or contemporary is a plus. Looking for a dedicated professional who is invested in growing with the program for years to come
We are seeking an acrobatics teacher for beginner through intermediate recreational classes, ages 5-12. Acrobatic Arts certification is a plus, if not it will be provided. Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience teaching acrobatics and the ability to prepare a structured, safe curriculum in a motivating, fun environment. Looking for a dedicated professional who is invested in growing with the program for years to come.
Dance Teacher Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and teach dance classes
Develop and implement lesson plans that are tailored to the needs of each student
Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback
Maintain a clean and organized studio space
Provide individualized instruction and guidance
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Adhere to all safety regulations
Dance Teacher Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Two or more years of dance teaching experience
Knowledge of multiple dance styles such as preschool dance, ballet, jazz, acrobatics, hip-hop, and tap
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Able to motivate and inspire students
Able to work with a diverse student population
Able to provide a current video of your teaching and/or choreography
