The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
River Edge offers behavioral health outpatient services to adults in Bibb County experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Therefore, we are seeking dedicated healthcare providers to join our team of professionals in the delivery of recovery-oriented services.
CPS Leads peer support clients in engaging and dynamic group tasks and topics. As a Group Leader you will be required to complete all group documentation the same day as service provided. THE SPECIFIC SERVICES OFFERED, INCLUDING WHETHER THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED DIRECTLY OR BY REFERRAL WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

- Health and wellness promotion
- Orientation, mobility and destination training

- Mind/Body Exercises
- Symptom identification and management
- Decision making strategies
- Community living skills
- Monthly Productivity Requirement based on work site
Responsibilities:
- Applicant must hold a valid Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) Certification or obtain Certification.
- A CPS is defined as someone with lived experience who is able to utilize self-disclosure in there day to day activities of facilitating for a group of Adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
Qualifications Needed (education and/or experience):
Preferred requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology or other relevant social work discipline.
- 2 years' experience working with MH population
- Experience in working with/dealing with the public
