Triple Point Security is seeking a highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented Assessment and Authorization Specialist to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
The Assessment and Authorization Specialist will provide cybersecurity control implementation, preparation, control assessment support, remediation, and operational support for a large research program.
Required Skills and Experience:
Candidates must possess demonstrated skills and experience in the following areas to be considered for the position:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience conducting security controls assessment testing and evaluation or related experience
- Strong technical skills to assist engineers with developing robust security controls and configurations
- Able to identify areas of cyber risk in cloud environments to provide oversight, analysis, and risk-informed recommendations for reducing risks
- Able to conduct cybersecurity assessments based on federal controls following NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171 Guidelines
- Strong technical writing skills for development of policy, procedures, and guides relating to cybersecurity governance & policy, privacy, risk management and compliance, and technical information security documentation adhering to Federal and commercial industry standards
- Can group, categorize, and maintain cybersecurity risk and Plan of Actions and Milestone (POA&M) reports
- Ability to work independently with collateral engineers, analysts, and managers on related projects
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal means to co-workers and senior leadership
Education and Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline from an accredited institution
Preferred/Highly Desired:
- Experience with commercial and federal cloud service providers
- Experience with the FedRAMP Agency Authorization process,
- Industry-recognized cybersecurity and/or CSP certifications are preferred (e.g., CompTIA, CAP, CCSP, Azure, AWS, GCP etc.)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (per client request)
- Must be able to meet federal suitability requirements for a Public Trust Clearance

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
