Responsibilities:
- Deploy and uphold robust network security measures to thwart unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
- Conduct routine vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to pinpoint and rectify potential security loopholes.
- Monitor network traffic vigilantly, promptly responding to any signs of suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, offering insights and guidance on secure system design and configuration.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in IT security, keeping abreast of emerging threats and technologies.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as an IT Security Specialist or in a comparable role.
- Profound understanding of network security protocols, tools, and technologies.
- Hands-on familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Burp Suite.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automating security tasks.
- Knowledgeable about network administration principles and practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic.
- Comfortable with Mac OS and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with secure file transfer protocols (e.g., SFTP).
- Skilled in utilizing remote access software for troubleshooting purposes.
