Job description

Overview

VTG is seeking a entry level Cyber Security Analyst  to support the ACIO Office for Team Ships located in Washington, DC at the Washington Navy Yard.  Position is hybrid

 

As an Associate Cyber Security Analyst, the candidate will assist the customer in planning and execution of all Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities in support of achieving an Authorization to Operate (ATO) for NAVSEA systems. You will utilize the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) application to perform system package, artifact, and Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) reviews. You will utilize The Department of Defense Information Technology Portfolio Repository-Department of the Navy (DITPR-DON) to ensure all applied software and hardware is up to date and allowed on Navy networks. You will support the Cyber Security Workforce in compiling customer’s responses to all Data Calls and Command Task Orders (CTO).

What will you do?

Candidate must have a general knowledge of software/hardware.

 

Basic understanding of the logical application and implementation of NIST 800-53, and other NIST 800 Publications Cybersecurity (CS) and Information Assurance (IA) directives and guidelines.

The ability to cross validate STIG reports. Collect and provide IT performance metrics as required.

Process eMASS packages for Certification and Accreditation:

1) C&A process management

2) IA control processing

3) Validation and collaboration

4) Create user designation and appointment letters

5) Validate data calls and submit reports

 

Operational artifacts development and update:

1) Technical writing

2) Business rule development and guidance DADMS maintenance

 

New application additions. Registry system update Compliance reporting

1) OCRS

2) VRAM

3) CARS,

4) DOD/DON data calls as required

 

System Registration

1) DITPR-DON,

2) DADMS,

3) DOD SNAP,

4) eMASS,

5) PPSM and Vulnerability Management System (VMS)

 

Workforce training and Tracking

1) Appointment letters

2) TWMS updates

3) Annual training reports

4) Personnel development of PQS requirements.


Do you have what it takes?

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any IT/Cyber field 
  • 1 year of technical Skills, training provided
  • MS Office Suite
  • Must have active DOD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain one

Preferred Skills:

  • CASP
  • Security+ CE
  • RMF Knowledge
