We are looking for a Finance Data Analyst to join the Omnicom Media Group Shared Services Accounting & Finance team. This role is a blend of Project Management, Data Analysis, and Process Improvement. The primary responsibility for this role includes managing multiple projects across the organization, creating a data centric organization, and improving processes through automation, technology, and best practices. This ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and strong communication skills complemented by a strong technical background. In addition, the candidate will have in-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, the ability to lead projects across multiple stakeholders at all levels and is proficient in BI and productivity tools. The candidate should be an enthusiastic, analytical, creative, and strategic thinker who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role will report directly to the Director of Process Improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Media experience is not required but preferred.
- Strong experience in Financial Reporting.
- Sufficient knowledge of accounting principles.
- Solid business acumen.
- Experience managing complex projects in a multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environment.
- Working knowledge of Dax
- Minimally 4 years of experience as a project manager or business analyst with PM experience.
- Tech savvy and MS Excel expert user; must be comfortable working with and analyzing large datasets.
- Knowledge of project planning tools such Microsoft Planner, Asana, Jira, or SmartSheets.
- Knowledge of Microsoft D365 would be a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills: proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levels.
- Proactive self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and an ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet challenging deadlines
Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Lead project planning efforts including developing project plans with actionable deliverables from end-to-end across all stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate business outcomes at every touchpoint within a project.
- Ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with project plan timelines.
- Spearhead weekly meetings across multiple projects and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on priorities and next steps.
- Create presentations for senior leadership that illustrates through both data and content.
- Manage and maintain dashboards across various projects.
Data Analysis
- Design and develop excel based financial models.
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
- Responsible for compiling multiple reports that are distributed on specific cadences.
- Develop commentary for variances and current client balances.
- Leverage BI tools to produce data visualizations and communicate data and KPI’s.
Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with business leads to understand their pain points within their department processes and develop solutions to reduce obstacles.
- Partner with business leads to increase productivity by developing automated reporting.
- Identify and evaluate BI tools, accounting applications, and productivity applications that can automate and streamline reporting and processes across the organization.
Compensation Range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
