Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) National & Homeland Research Accelerator Department is seeking a Project Manager for Cyber-Informed Engineering.

Our team works on-site 9x80 schedule located at our Energy Research Office Building with every other Friday off!

Responsibilities Include:

This is an early / mid-career Project Manager position supporting the Cyber-Informed Engineering program within National & Homeland Security (NHS) Directorate Research Accelerator Department.  It will report to the Research Accelerator Department Manager as part of a team that furthers the strategic objectives of NHS's Chief Science Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Cybersecurity Scientist, with a specific focus on the Cyber-Informed Engineering (CIE) program sponsored by DOE CESER. 

This program collaborates on research across not only NHS Divisions and INL Directorates but also with outside resources in partnerships with industry, national labs, multiple federal agencies, and leading academic institutions. The person in this position is expected to provide project management support to direct the focus and manage the resources of the Cyber-Informed Engineering program at the direction of the Program Manager and in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) on the project. 

This position will provide the following support to the Cyber-Informed Engineering program:

  • Tactical level project planning and execution including scope definition; schedule, budget, and resource planning and management of costs, schedule, and performance.

  • Coordination and execution of project technical direction and tasking in conjunction with stakeholder INL portfolio and/or program managers, INL technical staff, external stakeholders and partners, federal customers, and subcontractors.

  • Execution of project actions on behalf of program leadership. 

  • Preparation of cost estimates, subcontracts, and scope documents.

  • They will also execute tasking as assigned from executive leadership in the research accelerator department.

Minimum Requirements:

  • PR0200: Baccalaureate degree plus 2 years of relevant, validated experience, or Master's degree and 1 year of relevant, validated experience, or PhD. Relevant experience in lieu of degree(s) will be considered.

  • PR0300: Baccalaureate degree plus 5 years of relevant, validated experience, or Master's degree and 3 years of relevant, validated experience, or PhD and 2 years of relevant, validated experience. Relevant experience in lieu of degree(s) will be considered.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate, contribute, and excel in team environments. 

  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" clearance.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Current clearance with US Government is preferred.

  • Must be able to work in dynamic research environment, meeting project and sponsor commitments while maintaining quality of work and a professional interface with entire team.
  • Preferred formal educational background and/or significant experience in one of the following areas: Project Management, Engineering (especially Systems Engineering), Cybersecurity or related fields.
  • Relevant experience includes project management/coordination (particularly on US Government funded projects), cyber security, and familiarity with industrial control systems. Familiarity with Cyber-Informed Engineering is desired.

  • Must be able to work in dynamic research environment, meeting project and sponsor commitments while maintaining quality of work and a professional interface with entire team.

Job Information:

  • PR0200: Salary Grade 190 ($72,528 - $119,652).

  • PR0300: Salary Grade 210 ($95,928 - $158,232).
