Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking to hire aCyber Architectto join the Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) Ground Sustainment Services (LGSS) program to add to our distinguished team to sustain and enhance the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Common Ground System (CGS). The JPSS CGS is responsible for implementing JPSS Program command, control, and communications and data processing requirements for JPSS CGS-serviced missions. The JPSS is the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) next-generation operational Earth observation Program that acquires and distributes global environmental data from multiple polar-orbiting satellites, playing a critical role to NOAA’s mission to understand and predict changes in weather, climate, oceans, coasts, and space environments, which supports the Nation’s economy and protection of lives and property.
Responsibilities:
- Designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
- Ensures system security needs are established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis.
- Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis of cyber security features, and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues.
- May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies.
- Experience in leading the analysis, assessment, design, and implementation of enterprise Cybersecurity solutions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
- Years of work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement.
- Experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Experience with Jira/ Confluence Atlassian tools.
- Experience establishing, managing, and maturing security and compliance programs in federal sector focused on delivering complex Security IT solutions, resolving business challenges through technical implementation.
- Experience in analysis, assessment, design, and implementation of enterprise Cybersecurity solutions.
- Experience in partnering with Business Leaders and Product Owners to influence and develop secure product visions and security informed roadmaps.
- Experience with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and development of mitigation strategies as well as coordinating strategies across multiple business lines, teams, and senior leadership.
- Experience in Agile/DevSecOps methodologies.
- Expert level experience in at least 1 and intermediate level in at least 3 of the following enterprise cyber capabilities or equivalent products

- Axway Validation Authority and Desktop Validator
