As a Customs Compliance Analyst, your role involves offering essential support to ensure adherence to both US and international regulations in customs entry. You will be responsible for auditing and controlling import/export transactions, providing regulatory guidance regarding Customs and duty requirements for these transactions.

MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) serves as a Tier 1 supplier for BSA and PE systems, crucial and essential components in the production of electric vehicles. This is accomplished through cutting-edge manufacturing technology specifically focused on battery system assembly.
Essential Functions(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Achieve precise identification and classification in US HTS classification with a high level of accuracy.
- Detect and address potential duty avoidance, initiating recovery efforts related to NAFTA.
- Generate diverse customs certificates for MOBIs parts.
- Continuously monitor post-summary correction activity on a day-to-day basis.
- Collaborate with customer brokers and internal/external customers to resolve any shipment-related issues.
- Uphold established internal controls, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Participate in approved Customs projects, encompassing value reconciliation, export compliance, etc.
- Conduct daily and weekly GR verification, analyze pending ASN, and report GR errors.
- Assist the Supply Chain Manager in parts analysis, monitoring, and control of short/over-shipments.
- Assist the Supply Chain Manager with Safety stock optimization and Min Max analysis.
- Assist the Supply Chain Manager in controlling obsolete parts and managing claims.
- Follow-up on OS&D processes and report issues related to materials handlings and logistics.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and updates to management, providing necessary monthly metric reporting.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable related to customs activities.
- Stay informed on legislative changes affecting imports and exports, conducting ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
- Manage record-keeping processes and archives, and review/modify existing work instructions and workflows as needed.
- Undertake other special assignments as delegated.

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Experience in the automotive, electronics, and machinery sectors (Chapters 84, 85, 87, etc.).
- Understanding of US import and export regulations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective reporting to management, customers, and suppliers.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required, with preference for SAP.
- Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
Required Education & Experience:
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- LCB, CCS, or CES preferred; otherwise, the requirement to pursue these within two years from the hire date.
- 1 - 4 years' experience in international logistics and export/import compliance professional with knowledge, understanding, or exposure to U.S. export/import regulations and related compliance requirements.
Working Conditions: Office setting, repetitive standing, walking within and between buildings, and occasional travel to off-site meetings
