We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Dispatcher to join our team. As a Service Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching service technicians to various locations. Your role will involve utilizing transportation management systems, data entry, and effective communication skills to ensure efficient service delivery.
Duties:
- Receive service requests from customers and enter them into the system
- Coordinate and schedule service technicians based on availability and customer needs
- Utilize transportation planning tools to optimize routes and minimize travel time
- Communicate with customers regarding service appointments, estimated arrival times, and any delays or changes
- Dispatch service technicians to job sites, providing them with all necessary information and instructions
- Monitor technician progress and provide updates to customers as needed
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, including details of work performed and parts used
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of necessary parts and equipment
Skills:
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of transportation management systems and logistics processes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, technicians, and other team members
- Familiarity with GPS technology for tracking technician locations
