From a service perspective, this position is a part of a team that diligently works to provide total customer satisfaction through accurate handling of customer email requests and phone calls to process quotes and orders. In addition, the associate will help pull and pack orders and will make deliveries to select customers to accurately maintain agreed upon stocking levels of our inventory located at our customers’ location. Your role as a Customer Service/Warehouse specialist will include fostering good customer relationships and updating the appropriate salesperson with any new information.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,400.00 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience
Schedule: 8-hour shift - Monday through Friday
Work Location: In person
Responsibilities:
Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock.
Create quotes and process orders.
Pull, pack and ship orders, or deliver when required.
Receive incoming inventory shipments via FedEx, UPS, trucks, etc.
Continuously update your product knowledge via our training program
Cross training where needed to ensure our customers receive the highest quality service.
Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leaders.
Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.
Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.
Assisting with training of newly employed workers.
Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.
Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
Requirement – Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent skills, including the ability to set goals, motivate and manage conflict.
Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
Great interpersonal skills
Certification in the operation of a forklift truck is not necessary but would be considered a plus.
Above average computer skills required and proficiency with Microsoft Office software, UPS WorldShip and FedEx Shipping Manager, as well as the ability to learn custom software programs and common office equipment operation.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, dependable, and have good verbal, listening and written communication skills and pay attention to details. This position will require you to learn about industrial valves and fittings and their uses.
Previous experience working in Customer Service and warehouse preferred.
This position requires flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to understand technically challenging material.
Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
Exceptional time management and organization skills
In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse
Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices and logistics
Prior experience working in a warehouse.
Knowledge of operating a forklift
Carry loads up to 80 pounds.
Ability to work independently and safely.
Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applications.
Physical strength, stamina and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
Have prior experience working in a warehouse. An experience of 2 to 3 years in a similar role would be preferred.
