General LabCorp job description for a Customer Service representative is :
Serves as a liaison between LabCorp branches or regional laboratories and its customers in response to inquiries and problems. Researches, troubleshoots and resolves customer problems. Performs a wide variety of administrative/clerical duties (i.e., faxing, filing, and data entry).
Performs administrative duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

General Purpose
Answer incoming calls from customers – respond to inquiries and questions, handle complaints, general troubleshooting problems and provide information.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- answer calls timely and professionally
- respond accurately and efficiently to customer inquiries
- research required information using available resources
- handle and resolve customer complaints within our department duties
- provide customers with service information
- enter customer information in accurate manner
- process supply orders, forms request and other application needs
- identify and escalate priority issues
- route calls to appropriate resource
- follow up customer calls where necessary with email, fax or other electronic devices (we are inbound this should be minimum)
- complete call logs
- produce call reports as requested
- follow policies and procedures including attendance, performance guidelines, and scripting
- consistently achieve departmental metrics such as
<= 1 hr Not Ready
Zero Return Calls to Queue or From Time Out
Average speed to answer < 20 seconds
Login time = 8 hrs
Abandon rate < 3%
- operating within organizational chain of command
- and any other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or manager
